Having an older brother with disabilities, being a woman, and having a disability myself - I have a deep understanding of what it is like to be misrepresented in film and media. With underrepresented people being silenced by mass media, this has widespread detrimental repercussions. Filmmaking has allowed me to find my voice while helping others be heard.

As the person behind the camera, I have been lucky enough to learn, experience, and grow from the stories and people I film. Film has the power to create real-world change on local and global levels. Community screenings, and film + photography empowerment workshops are important.
